Dimensionamento inverter e corrente DC

IEEE 929 & UL 1741 REFERENCE METHODOLOGY

How inverter sizing works

An inverter converts DC battery power to AC for your loads. Sizing it is really two separate questions kept strictly apart: continuous power (what the inverter must supply indefinitely) and surge / peak power (the brief, higher draw when motors or compressors start).

Formulas

The inverter sizing math

Continuous watts, peak surge, and DC terminal current.

Continuous AC Watts

P_continuous = Σ load continuous watts

Steady-state power. Inverter continuous rating must exceed this value.

DC Battery Current

I_DC = P_AC ÷ (V_system × η)

Current drawn through DC battery cabling and main system fuse.

Domande frequenti

I_dc = P_ac ÷ (V_sistema × efficienza). Un carico da 1000 W a 12 V con efficienza del 90% assorbe circa 93 A dalla batteria — ecco perché contano tensioni di sistema più alte e cavi DC corti e ben protetti.
