Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my daily solar energy consumption?

For each appliance, multiply its power in watts by how many units you have and by the hours it runs per day: energy (Wh) = power × quantity × hours. Sum all loads for the total daily Wh, then divide by 1000 for kWh/day.

What is the difference between connected load and daily energy?

Connected load is the instantaneous power in watts if every appliance is switched on at the same time — it is a power figure that guides inverter and surge sizing. Daily energy is the energy in watt-hours or kilowatt-hours consumed over a day — it guides battery and solar sizing.
